Last updated: 30 March 2026

1. Our Commitment

At TaskHelper.uk, we are committed to ensuring a fair and transparent experience for both Clients and Taskers. If a disagreement arises, we offer a mediation process to resolve the issue quickly and fairly.

2. When to Raise a Dispute

You may raise a dispute if:

  • The Tasker has not completed the work as described.
  • The quality of work does not meet the agreed standard.
  • The Tasker has not started the work within the agreed timeframe.
  • The Client has not made the final payment after task completion.
  • There is a disagreement about the scope of the work.

3. How to Raise a Dispute

  1. Contact us at contact@taskhelper.uk with the subject line "Dispute - [Task Title]".
  2. Include your account email, the task title, and a clear description of the issue.
  3. Attach any evidence (screenshots, messages, photos of work) to support your case.

4. Mediation Process

Step 1: Acknowledgement (within 24 hours)

We acknowledge your dispute and notify the other party.

Step 2: Investigation (1-3 business days)

We review the task details, messages, and evidence from both parties.

Step 3: Resolution (within 5 business days)

We propose a fair resolution. This may include a partial or full refund, task renegotiation, or account action.

5. Possible Outcomes

  • Full refund of the Guarantee Deposit if the Tasker failed to deliver.
  • Partial refund if the work was partially completed.
  • No refund if the work was completed as agreed.
  • Account suspension for repeat offenders or fraudulent behaviour.

6. Escalation

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of our mediation, you have the right to:

  • Seek independent mediation through a UK-approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider.
  • Contact Citizens Advice: citizensadvice.org.uk
  • Take legal action through the courts of England and Wales.

7. Prevention

To avoid disputes, we recommend:

  • Be as detailed as possible when describing your task.
  • Discuss expectations clearly through the messaging system before work begins.
  • Take photos or document the work at each stage.
  • Communicate promptly if any issues arise.
